Jazz inaugurates its National Incubation Center in Islamabad at the National Information Technology Board. The ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Houlin Zhao, Secretary General – International Telecommunications Union, H.E. Anusha Rahman Khan, Minister of State for Information technology and Telecom, Mr. Rizwan Bashir, Secretary IT and Telecom. It was also attended by Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Chairman PTA and CEO National ICT R&D Fund, and Amir Ibrahim, CEO Mobilink.
The National ICT R&D is funding the incubator, which is an innovation hub for the young and talented entrepreneurs from all over the country. With the vision of a digital Pakistan, this incubator by Mobilink aims to provide every assistance need for the growth of budding entrepreneurs and their ventures. They will be given the assistance of mentors and access to funds from different investors.
Mobilink teams up with the service delivery partner Team Up to operate the National Incubation Center under the supervision of experts like Zouhair Khaliq and Pervaiz Abbasi.
The initiative also works with VimpelCom’s group-wide “Make Your Mark” program. It has also collaborated with LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship (LEC) to provide assistance and mentorship to the startups at the incubator. 15 startups have already been incubated at the Center.
