– PrestaShop edits the leading e-commerce software solution in France and Europe. It unveils today its much awaited 1.7.3 version, as a joint effort by worldwide community members and PrestaShop teams.
This version brings major improvements. Indeed, it has completely been redesigned for the international market. New demo products have been added for more modernity. Also PrestaShop is now fully compliant for Right-To-Left languages (commonly referred as “RTL”). Good news for business in countries using languages such as Arabic, Hebrew and Persian.
On the left, view of PrestaShop 1.7.3’s left to right page. On the right, the Persian home page (right to left). The whole navigation page (basket, menu, search bar …) is reversed.
“From now on, every merchant will be able, with a single click, to adapt each store to the correct sense of reading. This feature offers an optimal navigation whatever the language of the user. This is the opportunity for all merchants to easily open up to new markets” Alexandre Eruimy explains, CEO of PrestaShop.
This 1.7.3 version also simplifies the stock management part of the back office and complies with European law by clearly displaying estimated delivery times to customers.
Protecting merchants is one of the main concerns of PrestaShop. That’s why the teams are currently working on adapting the software to the new European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will be applicable in all 28 EU Member States as of 25 May 2018.
Around the world, more than 270,000 ecommerce stores run on PrestaShop technology. Our mission is to develop world-class ecommerce software through open source innovation. Together with our community, we provide software that enables everyone to have a successful ecommerce business.
PrestaShop is on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in Europe. The company also received the CMS Critic Award for Best eCommerce Software.
