Quetta: The final stage of Ufone Balochistan Football Cup is picking up momentum with quarterfinals being played here at Railway Ground on Zarghoon Road. Top eight teams of the championship are battling it out to secure top four slots and play in the semifinals.
In the first match, Khudai Dad Qalandarni Football Club (FC) from Khuzdar lost to Baloch FC Noshki in a one sided match by 4-1. Baloch FC dominated the game and Khudai dad Qalandarni FC never recovered. The maiden goal for the Qalandarni team was scored by Muhammad Fazal. Khalil scored the decisive hat-trick and was supported by Younas who scored one goal to take their team into the semifinals.
The second match was played between Afghan FC Chaman and Azad Baloch FC Noshki. Afghan FC won the match 1-0 in a thrilling contest. From Afghan FC, Musa Kaleem’s solitary goal paved the way for his team to book their place in the semifinals.
