Rawalpindi, Punjab, March 19th 2018: Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) organized a 3-day Capacity Enhancement Training and MoU signing for virtual incubation in Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi from 19th-21st March 2018.
WCD-II is a capacity enhancement and linkages development project working in 12 public women universities and 6 religious seminaries across Pakistan spanned over 12 districts in Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan and AJ&K.
The session began with MoU signing of setting up virtual incubation for FJWU students and women from the community by SFEA. The MoU was signed by Syed Ali Hameed (Executive Director SFEA) and Prof. Dr. Samina Qadir (Vice Chancellor FJWU). It was mutually agreed upon between the two organizations that virtual incubation would be provided and students shall be given proper training to formulate ideas which will eventually be facilitated for advance incubation and seed grant after scrutiny. The parties also agreed upon providing facilitation to women from the community for incubating their ideas. A training was conducted based on the training manual specially designed for the session with help of subject specialists. Mr. Talha Azhar, who is SFEAs lead trainer.
Organizations such as Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, National Incubation Center, Telenor Micro Finance Bank, SMEDA and successful female entrepreneurs gave motivational sessions to the beneficiaries. A total number of 350 students were directly benefited from the session.
Program Manager Ammara Qazi briefed about the ideology of organization and mandate of WCD-II. Executive Director SFEA Syed Ali Hameed insured the beneficiaries for constant support from the organization. The initiative was appreciated by the worthy Vice Chancellor.
