Government of Pakistan has now been working on the preparation and getting done with the making of cyber crime law and it has been just few years that they are making their headway on this cyber crime law. We know that citizens have been facing serious and severe problems when it comes to the online blackmailers and big and also massive portion of victim of these online criminals are women.
Efforts of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)
To solve this issue, we have seen that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has now been hiring the services of so far two female officers and that too in its Cybercrime Wing. They will be specialized in dealing with all of the incidents and cases that will be related to blackmailing and also hacking of Facebook, cases related to Twitter and also Gmail accounts hacking faced by women will also be dealt by them. It is mainly because of the hesitant female complainants that this step has been taken by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Why women feel so much reluctant to report these kinds of issues?
It was because of lack of awareness about the cyber crime and it was also because of the absence of clear laws that majority of the women feel massively reluctant to report to these types of issues. Because of the arrival of internet, though it has so far empowered to have an increased connectivity but on the other hand, it has also become a potent tool to keep on committing crimes.
It is time that we should be implementing this effective law as soon as possible so that we may deal with the cyber crimes in an effective way
