Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTCL and IBM (Pakistan) together sign an agreement to initiate Public Cloud Services in Pakistan. This is a historical step taken by both the industry giants in the field of Information Technology in Pakistan.
IBM will provide cloud platform to PTCL through which it will offer services like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Virtual Private Servers (VPS), Disaster Recovery Site (DRS), Backup and Storage as a Service along with other solutions to the customers.
The IBM cloud platform is equipped with advanced technologies which are going to take the information technology infrastructure to another level in Pakistan.
While addressing the occasion, Mr. Kamal Ahmed, CSO, PTCL, said that through this agreement, the IBM and PTCL have come together to create greater value services not only to the customers but the entire enterprise segment. The cloud service is going to benefit both the corporate clients and the SMEs.
